Image Requirements

Is my image quality good enough?

Image checks including resolution, sharpness, contrast or image errors, are not carried out by the system during upload and configuration.

However, once your order is received our print specialists check the resolution of your image file to ensure that they are suitable for your desired size. If your uploaded image is not appropriate for the selected print size a member of our customer service team will contact you.

What size should my files be?

  • Your files will not be modified, edited or manipulated Print Your Memory – the image uploaded is the image that will be printed. If you wish to edit your image this should be done prior to upload.
  • When saving files as JPEG prior to upload you should always use the highest JPEG quality settings available in your editing software.
  • Currently the maximum file size that can be uploaded through this site is 256MB. In addition, the maximum pixel size is 100 million pixels. Both file size and pixel size need to be less than these limits in order to be uploaded.  / You should always use the maximum available resolution for your image, i.e. no reduced image data. We accept a minimum of 700 x 700 pixels. A maximum of 625 megapixels and up to 50,000 pixels per image sides are possible.
    • If you have a larger file, please contact us for instructions on how to submit it.
  • General tips:
    • If you are editing your files prior to upload you should be saving them as TIFF or PSD (Photoshop format) until you are done with your work
  • Once you are done, save as JPEG for order submission

What format should my files be?

The following file formats can be uploaded to the Print Your Memory configurator:

  • JPG, TIFF or PNG

Unfortunately, uploading RAW files is not possible.

What colour space should I use for my images?

We prefer Adobe RGB or sRGB. But fear not we will check this once the order has been received and apply if necessary.

Is there any subject matter you WON’T print?

We can print any image as long as it does not violate UK laws relating to explicit or copyrighted content. Images that do violate copyright are the sole responsibility and liability of the customer and not Print Your Memory. Your files are not printed or used beyond the order you submit.
